The Blessing

25 years back, in a small remote village called Ravuru in Prakasam district of Andhra pradesh, a young man with his one year old son in his lap was listening to a religious discourse delivered by a godly woman standing in a temple of Raja Rajeswari ( A form of Goddess Shakti/Kali). His wife has been suffering from a serious, and strange mental illness for a long time which could not be cured by any of the doctors that he can afford.

Some of his well wishers suggested him to take her to this temple. He thought, by spending some time in such a serene environment, hopefully his wife would be sane gain.

He had to leave his son in the temple premises to answer nature call. The little boy slowly crawled to the feet of that godly woman and tumbled over there. She took him into her loving hands, fondly caressed his head and said "Who is this baby? he will lead a successful life and has a good future". To his father these words seemed like a boon for his son. His joy knew no bounds. He took the boy from her hands amidst curious onlookers and went on to his wife to explain the wonderful experience happened to their son. After a few months, the boy's mother also got recovered from the illness. No one thought she would overcome the clutches of death.

The boy has grown up to be a young man now and authored this post. :-) I strongly feel that her blessings came true for me. Since then we have been visiting that temple regularly.
